FIT FOR A PRINCESS!

This is a project my daughter and I worked on for a class grade. They were also raising money for breast cancer awareness. She had to use a pumpkin and it had to relate to her research paper dealing with knighthood.

It was set up whereas each project is rated by their peers by donating to the collection box and the person or group with the most donations wins. All proceeds were being donated to breast cancer research.

FAUX WEDDING CAKE!

This was a centerpiece that I did for a co-worker's daughters wedding.  I got the idea from youtube from Robbin of Crazed Crafter.  The two layers are paper mache' boxes picked up from Hobby Lobby.  I used paper studio open stock cardstock in creme to cover the boxes. Flowers were cut using the cricut cartridge Plantain Schoolbook.  I used 65# Wasau bright white cardstock from Office Depot and dyed them  with broken china distressed ink by Tim Holtz. The flowers on top were also dipped in UTEE for a glass finish. The swirls were cut using the Home Accents cartridge.  I also used Prima Nursey Rhymes flowers, stemens from Hobby Lobby, bridal pearls from Michael's, white tulle from Michael's, Pearl spray from HL, alot of hot glue, cardboard for base, and silver metallic paper by Best Occasions.

Hope you like it, if you have questions, just email me at marysanders123@yahoo.com or post a comment and I will gladly try to answer your questions.

LAZY SUSAN KIND OF DAY

Hi everyone, I am making a post today for the Some Odd Girl challenge. You are to use at least 5 elements from the list: And challenge #6 for ribbon and rub-ons.

stitching (real or faux)                  oval                              green ( a little or alot)
orange ( a little or alot)                 diecuts                        inked edges
masking or paper piecing               distressing                 ribbon
embossing                                                                           lace

If you are paying attention, the first letter of each item spells "some odd girl"! I really tried to use them all but I've never done masking or paper piecing so I avoided those items! However, I was successful with incorporating everything else.  I hope you enjoy the card as this is my first easel card! I really like how it turned out.

Supplies:
Recollections cardstock                     diecuts - cricut storybook cartridge, making memories
DCWV The butterflies stack              distressing- Tim Holtz peeled paint distress ink and scissors
Stickles                                                 butterfly - Making Memories
MS border punch                                  rub-ons -by Royal & Langnickel (Fairy ABC's)
lace (Hobby Lobby)
ribbon (Michael's)

I really had alot of fun with this challenge as it made me think outside the box. I first started with a sketch but somewhere that went out the window, lol.

WEDDING CARD

Good morning everyone, This is my first post since May. Sorry for the lapse.  However, I have been creating just not posting about it.  I have a project that I am posting today for JUGS (Just Us Girls Sketch).  The theme is a wedding card.  I was asked to create one for a bride back in June and this is what I came up with. Never posted the pictures on my blog though.  I love the way it turned out as the brides colors were my colors so I was able to really pour myself into this one. It just kept growing as a result.

Card recipe is as follows:
All cardstock is Recollections. I have used the argyle cuttlebug folder as well as swiss dots folders. The punch is lattice heart by Martha Stewart. ribbon is red color by Offray. There are Prima flowers and two tiny pearls from my stash.  The inside is finished with a little paper piercing and a sweet sentiment.

MOTHER'S DAY CARD

Hi everyone, I have a card I would like to share today. The sketch I used is from The Pixie Cottage challenge # 15.  I have used a digital from Busy Beauties Boutique (BBB).  Cardstock is by Recollections and background paper is from Deja Views the Sharon Ann little ones collection. All coloring is sharpie markers and chalking from inkadinkado. Fairy's wings and dress was stickled with lime green stickles and baby blue stickles for the water droplets off the flower.  The fence is a MS border punch.  Sentiment is a Sandylion Essentials sticker.

This is the inside of the card. The sticker is also a part of the sentiment on the front.

It is for several challenges. I finally did one that qualifies for more than one challenge at a time!

I am entering this card into:

Busy Beauties Creatiion Station - Go green with a twist. I recycled the rectangle behind the world's best mom sticker.  Now it looks like a focal point for the saying.
The Pixie Cottage Challenge #15 - using the sketch and Mother's Day or Special Lady theme.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #55 - April flowers or April showers

Cricut Cards Challenge - color challenge for a Mother's Day card  using the colors pink, green, & white.

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment.

Here is my card using the sketch with a spin.
Digi is from Busy Beauties Boutique, she is colored with Sharpie markers and inkadinkado chalks.  My buttons are handmade, using a MS heart punch and UTEE. Cardstock is Recollections and background is Provo Craft. It came embossed already.  The flower bouquet is from Sandylion Essentials stickers. My angel's wings got treated with diamond stickles and the hearts and her lips got Papier glass finish in clear by Folkart.  Sorry about the lighting, but my colors are lilac and blue.

Hi all,
Me again, and I'm entering another challenge. This time I'm enter the Pollycraft challenge. It is a color challenge this week. The colors are pink, brown, and your choice of green or yellow. I choose green. Somehow, I have become a victim of the colors pink and green.

I used a Pentel Milky gel roller in her hair for highlights.  I used diamond stickles to make her smile sparkle.  Sentiment is from inkadinkado, ribbon from Michael's, background is DCWV the glitter sweet matstack. Cardstock is Recollections, and Miss Lolita is pop dotted.

Thanks for looking,
Mary

Supplies used: Recollections black cardstock, DCWV Le Cre'me matstack in 4.5" x 6.5" size. Just the perfect size for my cardmaking. This is flocked by the way!  The image of the bird bath is pop dotted and so is the sentiment.  The stamp is by inkadinkado. Pearls are by Recollections, buttons from my stash, EK Success Fleur De lis border punch, and lastly, I used a inkadinkado stamp for the sentiment which is done with gold perfect pearls.

Last post for today! This card was made last night with the corset cards so in all I did a total of (5) cards last night/morning!  I added morning since it was 6:00am when I left my studio for bed. Of course I had lost track of time or my mind!LOL!  Anyway, Cardstock is Recollections, background paper is DCWV the blossoms & butterflies stack. Beautiful stuff! IRL it, digi is cute daisy may. Sad she discontinued her challenge blog hope she keeps the store open though. I love cute daisy may!  Scallop is cuttled with d'vine swirls. No other embellishs needed, I let the paper do its thing!! Oh markers used are sharpie and the sky was chalked. Umbrella's trim was stickled in lime green along with the trim on her dress. Flowers in basket were stickled in diamond.
Thanks for looking and be blessed.
Mary

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD FOR MY HUSBAND GARY!

I didn't do anything complicated as my husband is a simple man. I used the beautiful matstack from DCWV Le'Creme collection, ribbon from M's it is black and gold perfert for the background which is black and cream oh did I mentioned flocked!  Happy Birthday is cut with cricut sweet treats cart.

Thanks for looking and be blessed!

EASTER CARD FOR MY UNCLE

Ok, no I didn't just do this card today, it was finished before Easter, I just didn't post it. I had technical difficulties last Sunday trying to post as a result nothing made it to my blog! Plus I couldn't wish my wonderful husband Happy Birthday. So I'll do that now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNNY!

This is a Stampabilities stamp titled Resurrection Cross and the script is also. It reads, "You are Inscribed on the palm of his hand..." Isaiah 49:16.
Coloring is Sharpie markers and distressing inks in Walnut Stain. I did the shawl in purple and the barbed crown in gold. How fitting for a Prince.  I think the distressing looks alot like clouds covering the
Earth when Jesus died. What you think? That was a happy find. I wasn't going for that look but glad it happened like so.

Thanks for looking and be blessed!
Mary
Good afternoon everyone! I have just been creating away. I need to be enter some of those challenges I follow Huh!  I made this card for a friends birthday, but the changed my mind and made her another one instead.  I think it was more to use my  new Martha Steward floral vine punch. Thing is, I went with a totally different color scheme on the other card. Of course I had to try some new gadget on that one too!

Anywho, cardstock recollections, background is Paper Studio, digi is Precious Moments, flowers are Recollections scrunched for dimension and leaves underneath cut using cricut storybook cartridge.

As always, Thanks for stopping by and be blessed!
Mary

I WENT CORSET HAPPY!

This card is a 4.75" x 6.75" using Recollections cardstock for base of card. Background paper is DCWV Le Cre'me matstack in 4.50" x 6.50". Perfect size for my cards!  The paper is so pretty, I didn't use any embellishments. The flowers are flocked! My corset is cut at 4" using the sweethearts cart. I cuttlebugged with D'vine Swirls, pink rhinestones from Recollections were used for buttons.

This card has the same dimensions as the one above and the same papers were used. This background is totally fuzzy!!! IRL! The corset was begging for some flocking too, so I gave it some. The colors are actually red.black, and cream but for some reason they are showing pink. The buttons are Pearl stickers from of course, Recollections.

Final corset card! Background paper is from The Paper Studio Black & White collection, all other is Recollections.  Corset got a simple sheer lace ribbon treatment. OH this drive me mad!!LOL! Image glueing the back the coming up with the ribbon idea, glad it came to me before I stuck it down!  The bottom border is a MS lace heart punch.

Thanks for stopping by and be blessed!
Mary

I created this card for the challenge over at My Pink Stamper Challenge. You were to create something using the colors pink (of course), green, and black.
Close up of the corset which I cut at 4" then cuttlebugged with the swiss dots folder. I used Recollections hot pink rhinestones for buttons, hot pink offray ribbon from Michael's, and a Recollections shamrock for the center of the bow. Border is a MS doily lace trim punch and Recollections Pearl sticker for the centers of the flowers. All papers are Recollections card stock, cricut cartridge used is sweethearts, the pink and black flowers are from Recollections also and the title is rubons from K and Company.
Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Happy Birthday Big Sister!  Swirls are an inkadinkado stamp, sentiment is Studio G, butterflies are spellbinders and border is Martha Stewart garden trellis.  I think I use this punch for almost all my cards. OK THE LAST TP MINI FOR TODAY!!!

This is the last tp mini for today, I promise! All this would be great in a video but I haven't a clue as to how all that works! LOL guess I have to get that teenager to show me. The inside pages are really beautiful. I will show those later.

FRONT OF THE SECOND TP MINI

This is the front cover of the second tp mini. As you can see I did my binding this time with my new BIA. I think we will become great friends, the BIA and I that is!!! Oh and this mini is packed with goodies! Just for me!!!

SECOND TP MINI ALBUM

This is my second tp mini. I see what they mean when they say that they are addicting! I improved on this one. It got a little more fancier than the first.
This is my first ever TP mini album! Not bad if I may say so myself! Rub-on saying says,"Bona fide queen of Bling!" And there is a lot of bling!!! I made the roses. That was a first attempt also! I like!!! The silver charm is a crown since no queen can be without one.

I'M BACK!!!

Hi blogging friends,

Fisrt, I would like to say happy Saturday! Secondly, sorry I have not posted in a ver---y long--- time.  December to be exact!  But, that doesn't mean I haven't been crafting.  Matter of factly, I will be posting a multitude of projects today.  I've privately participated in challenges and blog hopped daily, I just didn't post to my blog.
Since spring is a time of new beginnings, now is as good as any to post.  I hope I don't overwhelm you with the many posts today.  To make the posts shorter, I will eliminate the supply lists and only note where I have gotten inspiration.  I follow many talented bloggers and they deserve credit for their talents, so I will honor that and respect it.

Be blessed,
Mary

REST IN PEACE DIANNE

Sorry I have not posted in a very long time.  Looks like christmas came and went. And my gifts are still under the tree unopened! WOW!  I guess they will eventually be opened before the New Year. Everything was going fine until December 18th.  I suffered a very unexpected lost of my bff who was like a sister. I have good days and bad days.  I reflect back on every moment we shared together and remember there were many great days we shared.  I guess that's what makes it so difficult because we can't share them anymore.  I wake up and am tempted to call her but have to catch myself because she won't be answering. I have to remember when I drive by her house that she is no longer there and I can't stop. It is very hard guys because its not like I can reroute, I have no choice but to pass her house, for she was two houses down from me and I passed her to get house.  I am not depressed about the lost as I know if she could still be here she would, but then I think, all the pain she dealt with is no more, being tired all the time, and short of breath all gone, sad to say I find comfort in losing her to have her not suffer from her many afflictions.

So in memory of you, save me a game or two of 5000 over in glory and I'll always remember you and think of you when I go to Country Fisherman (Our favorite place to Eat).  Thank you for everything thoughout my life as I have known you for 33 years! You may be gone but never forgotten. I will always remember you through your "big boy" Kaleel. REST IN PEACE!!!
